“A insightful read for every African female undergraduate and fresh graduate”
– Peace Chiamaka Eneja.
by Lola Ayanda
This book was originally written to inspire female undergraduates; however, professionals will benefit from the knowledge shared in the book.
The chapters were framed by the author’s top 10 lessons in the last decade (2010-2020) and triangulated with real experiences of other career women in her circle of influence.
The author believes information shared in the book can help undergraduates maximize their opportunities at the university, answer questions they might have, prepare their minds for the real world of work and position them for opportunities early enough.
The author reflects on her experience and that of other women and share lessons from her journey having navigated through Nigeria’s development and media industry within a decade of graduating top of her class, as the best female graduating student.
Conclusively, the author finds the distinctions between acquired academic knowledge and employable skills required to survive in the real world, and emphasizes focus, the power of choices and strategic relationships as vital for career growth.
