Lola Ayanda is an accomplished multimedia strategist with over 14+ years of experience creating and executing successful strategic communication plans for local and international charities. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, an MBA, and a Master’s in Decolonisation and Social Justice from the University of West London. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Diplomacy and International Affairs.
 
With her academic background and experience, Lola is an expert in media relations, corporate communications, transmedia storytelling, and multimedia production. She has worked with well-known non-profit organizations such as Mercy Corps and ActionAid, helping them leverage media and storytelling to amplify their work and attract more resources for a more significant impact. Lola has implemented over 34 development projects in Africa, contributing to advancing strategic communication solutions aimed at tackling pressing issues such as climate justice, tax justice, gender and child rights, anticorruption, inclusive education, free and fair elections, and equitable healthcare. Her productions and campaigns effectively influence action and achieve tangible results.
 
Lola is an exceptional leader who believes in creating a healthy work environment that fosters creativity and empowers colleagues. She led the Communication team at ActionAid Nigeria for 5+ years and currently leads a team at Insightful Transmedia Communications. She has completed creative industry courses at the London College of Communication, Harvard Division of Continuing Education, and MS-TCDC in Arusha, Tanzania. Lola has received numerous accolades and awards for her excellent work, including Best Graduating Female Student, Department of Mass Communication, Nasarawa State University, Mercy Corps Gender Programmes Most Creative Team Member Award; University of West London Leadership Award; and ActionAid Nigeria Long Service Award.
 
In her leisure time, Lola enjoys gospel music and spending time with family and friends. She is a FIDAF tournament medalist and radio host.
